Autumn is a welcomed season in Kentucky and attending an Oktoberfest holiday is one of the most anticipated of celebrations!
The captivating town of Harrodsburg is going all out to host Central Kentucky’s largest Oktoberfest hoopla of the year. Mark your calendars for a three-day festival starting Friday, October 1st through Sunday, October 3rd.
Make plans to attend this fun, family-friendly, outdoor party. Four long blocks full of food vendors, crafters and shopping will be arranged right in the middle of historic downtown. This festival draws more than 15,000 people from all over Kentucky.
At the bottom of Main Street, attendees will be greeted by a huge stage. On tap are colorful light shows, special effects and awesome, live music from 13 bands. Check out their line-up of fantastic musicians.
Visitors can peruse locally crafted goods while choosing from a large selection of delicious offerings from various food trucks. And of course, what is Oktoberfest without a frosty beer?! They’ll have you singing and dancing in the streets, toasting "Prost" ("Cheers") to ring in a wonderful fall season!
To quote Hannah Beth Turner, Interim Executive Director of Harrodsburg First, “We expect a great crowd for this year’s festival as people have been waiting to get back to the community events we all love. Seeing live music and gathering with friends and family means more now than it ever did before!”
So bring the whole crew and join in Harrodsburg's lighthearted weekend of Bavarian merrymaking and entertainment.
